Production Sound Mixer, Sound Editor

Partial List of Clients and Credits

My career in production is a hobby that got out of control at an early age. I got a ham radio license at 12 and a FCC Commercial license at 13, and went to work on a local radio station. Audio was my first love, and I entered broadcast and film as a recordist. Everything was double system sound for film out-of-studio TV production, and I worked for ten years as a fulltime sound mixer and finally left the sound craft to pursure directing and shooting. Since 2007 I have been renewing my interest in the craft of sound, and now pursure it full time, along with voice acting and occasional filmmaking projects. - Rick

RJ & Robin Williams

Double-system film shoot in Golden Gate Park - Rick on Left with the boom. Robin Williams wears the hat with red wings. This 1977 shoot for a :30 spot required over 60 takes, due in part to the curiously short attention span of talent.
